The highest permanently populated place in Romania
The Omu peak in the north of the massif is the highest point in the Bucegi Mountains and the highest permanently populated place in Romania. Officially, the Omu peak is 2,505 meters high. If the height of the boulder at the summit is included, it would bring the height of the peak to 2,514 meters.
